We here at Audiovore are super excited about our big plans for 2020! Our Sound inSight Residency Program aims to support career growth in the music industry by offering a hands-on training program for emergent music industry professionals, while also serving Colorado musicians through the production of high quality promotional content. Audiovore’s Sound inSight Residency Program is made possible in part by a grant from the Denver Music Advancement Fund through Denver Arts & Venues.
Our residents will be working with the Audiovore staff to produce 8 live-performance music videos of local musicians and bands. Stay tuned to Audiovore for more details about where and when we’ll be filming!! You’ll be invited!
Please welcome our 2020 Sound inSight Video Residents:
Gwen Scott
Gwen is a senior at Denver School of the Arts studying in the Video Cinema Arts Major. Her early passion for film led her to pursue education and programs catered towards filmmaking. With a passion for live performance and local artists, she hopes to continue on a path which merges film and music.
Laurie Polisky
Laurie is a filmmaker and neuroscientist, whose projects reflect this synergy. A musician herself, she has found that music and film are two of the most powerful mediums in her life for personal expression and emotional connection. When she’s not behind a camera or microphone you might catch her rollerblading around town.
Lilah Park
Lilah Park began her film editing career in New York City and worked on several Sundance Film Festival Premieres including Gus Van Sant’s Gerry and Magnolia Pictures’ Control Room. She also edited a variety of documentary content for PBS programs such as The Blues, In the Life, and Independent Lens. A dramatic life change led Lilah to Costa Rica, where she ran a small hotel in the jungle, providing hospitality to international travelers and hostile semi-domesticated howler monkeys alike. Lilah now lives in Denver, Colorado and is thrilled by the opportunity to incorporate her passion for live music into her ongoing filmmaking education.
