King Krule may be the posterboy for the “slacker cool” aesthetic, but there was no slacking to be found on Friday night as Krule ruled over a packed house at the Ogden Theater. 29-year- old Archy Marshall, the gravel-throated Bristish singer-songwriter, producer, musician, artist- and his powerful band offered a mesmerizing set of jazz-flavored, spaced-out, richly nuanced and emotionally layered songs that spanned the young artist’s extensive catalogue.
